Throughout August our teams have been tasked with removing sludge from a 8m deep waste water tank at a Power Plant in Grimsby
In the first instance we removed surface water through our on-site suction facilities before tackling the sludge remains.
Attending with a remote hydro-dozer this enabled us to distribute sludge and solids to the sump of the tank before using a DISAB to remove the sludge and transfer into the centrifuge sludge holding tank.
By utilising the mobile centrifuge we saved the client logistics costs as we produced a cake from the sludge.
Overall we removed approximately 400 tonnes of dry cake
